My name is Leidy Johanna Alzate, I am 18 years old and I was born in Medellin, colombia. I am currently going to school as a Medical Assistant, and will continue as a Paramedic (EMT). In the fall. I chose this career because I like to help others, and knowing that I could have the Opportunity to help save a persons life is a great feeling.

I am currently working in a restaurant in Boston called CPK as a waitress, I been working there for almost a year now and I enjoy it because I have gotten really close to everyone I work with. As a hobby, I like to dance, belly dancing is one of my passions it is a dance that taught me a lot about other cultures but never forgetting mine. I also like to draw, paint, and decorate, in high school my favorite class was P&D. I also like to spend time with my family and my friends, my family is everything to me without them I wouldn't be who I am today, especially my mother who basically raced me by herself, she has been both my mom and my dad and with out her I don't think I would of made it.

I would like to be the next Señorita Colombia (New England), because it is something that I always wanted to do, and always thought of doing, but never thought I could. And now that I Have the opportunity, I want to take advantage of it and get the best out of it. I want to show everybody that us Colombian women can do a lot for our community.

I am very proud of being Colombian and I love everything about our culture, the food, the dances, everything in general. I know that by being the next Señorita Colombia, I would be able to show and teach everyone how diverse and beautiful our culture is. A culture where we give and share without asking for anything in return.

I really hope I get the opportunity to represent Colombia, because I will do everything that's In my hands to show everyone how every little thing that involves our country makes us unique.
